Variety of river buster;
Our industry defines various models based on the length of the cylinder.
The majority of manufacturers for rivet busters offer the range of 6 to 11 inches.
The standard and most well-known choices are 8- and 11-in. cylinder lengths.
The 11-in. model is much more robust. It’s got a longer stroke by using a bigger piston.
The tool then creates larger rivets.
Operational Techniques;
The operational techniques vary based on the type of application. Most rivet buster operators I’ve worked with prefer the triggers on the outside.
The trigger located on the outside lets the operator hold the handle using the four fingers on the top and use the thumb placed on the handle on the outside to control the trigger.
Another hand can be placed on the cylinder for added convenience.
There are also rivet breakers that have the inside trigger.
Certain operators prefer this method however for the majority they are deemed to be harder to use than the external trigger.
To operate the trigger on the outside you need to press it against the trigger with your fingers, and then push it in tight.
In essence, you’re pushing and pulling simultaneously making it difficult for certain users.
